Moving Forward
How to move forward from here? There are several ways. Some people will try to make everything go back as close as they can to the way things were in the past. It might not make sense for certain things, but they need to get things to return to where they are comfortable. Some will want to completely change everything all at once. Start a new order for things. Begin all new. Whenever I have made changes in my life in the past I have tried to stay open to see what opportunities are set before me. Rather than seeing the change as an upheaval of my life I looked for new paths to open up.
My path is to seek out what will cause me to meet the challenges of how to move forward in a changed path. One of my favorite quotes is:
“The most important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.”- Charles De Bos
Things can get more difficult as I get comfortable in a pattern. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is a way to get yourself to move forward rather than stand back.
Getting comfortable with our new reality is going to be difficult. Particularly since we are not really sure what things will look like, how we will behave. On top of that there are the losses to take into account as a result of COVID-19. Businesses, connections, and most importantly, lives have been lost. Financial challenges lie ahead but this time of financial loss will pass. Take this time to see how you want to move forward past the losses. What might you have learned while in this time of isolation. Maybe you crave to go back or maybe you know now you want some things to change. You have the chance now to make some conscious choices about what you want your life to be moving forward. Let me know what things you might like to change.
